Surfaces in natural stone get worn out and lose their shine and original beauty over time. This mainly occurs with floors, stairs, kitchen countertops and bathrooms. The polishing process of worn surfaces in natural stone, marmorite, hydraulic tile and marble agglomerates, is carried out with specific machines and products, in order to restore their natural shine and original look. The brightness obtained through this process is a natural glow, different from an ordinary glazing or waxing. After the renovation process, Prodistone can also perform maintenance actions on the restored surfaces, to extend the obtained brightness over time.

The restoration and maintenance of monuments and building facades include either cleaning, installation of missing elements (stone, tiles, repairing cracks and faults) or their protection for a longer conservation over time, using methods that do not damage the surface of natural stone or similar, respecting its structure, color and natural look.

Stone materials are porous and therefore absorb the various substances to which they are exposed over time. Floors, kitchen countertops and bathrooms absorb grease stains, dirt, cosmetics, waxes and food, water minerals, acid or basic substances that exist in cleaning detergents. Building facades are also stained by the action of air pollution, mildew, mosses, lichens, saltpetre and rust. Over time, the original beauty of the material will be lost due to the harmful action of all these agents. In order to avoid this, the surface should be protected to extend its original look and make it repel the various agents. Pavement treatment which aims to make its surface non-slippery, thus reducing the risk of users falling, without changing the brightness or natural look of the stone. It is specifically designed to reduce the danger of slipping on wet surfaces, increasing slip resistance by the creation of microscopic pores. We offer an appropriate treatment for each type of stone: limestone, travertine and marble; granite, gneiss and glazed tiles, and porcelain tiles and unglazed ceramic tiles.

Mildew and moss are organic substances that appear mainly due to the existence of high levels of relative humidity, showing frequently in facades, walls, floors, bathrooms, fountains, caves, etc. Mildew and moss leave stains on materials, are difficult to remove and easily become a very unpleasant sight. The treatment offered by Prodistone not only removes the dirt caused by mildew and moss, but also slows down their reappearance.

Walls, facades and concrete floors which show cracks or small holes can be restored, with the possibility of cleaning and polishing existing spots to bring uniformity to the surface, giving it a more beautiful and regular look. It is also possible to perform specific treatments on concrete surfaces, such as the application of consolidation and conservation products for a greater preservation of the materials in the future.

Cobblestone floors, widely used in outdoor flooring, are being increasingly used in interior floors of commercial areas or private homes. Prodistone performs the restoration of cobblestone floors, placing missing and new stones together, as well as their polishing, making the floor more uniform and allowing it to get a natural, high quality, beautiful shine.

Prodistone works at height with a team of technical climbers using adequate directional aerial platforms for each specific situation. We avoid the use of traditional means of access such as scaffolds, which require higher costs for mounting, dismounting and licensing.
